GE Water & Process Technologies is working independently and through a network of thought leaders around the world to encourage increased investment in water efficiency and reuse technologies and projects.
Around the world, we have outlined policy options for promoting water recycling and reuse, including white papers focusing on Saudi Arabia and Latin America.
We are engaged with The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania’s Initiative for Global Environmental Leadership, where one of our executives sits on the Corporate Advisory Board and on the Alumni Advisory Board. We also actively participate in the WateReuse Association, with one of our executives serving as a member of the Legislative Committee. Additionally, we have an executive who serves on the Board of Trustees of the Water Environment Federation, and we are active members of the Water Environment Research Foundation.
We also work closely with the World Resources Institute and other leading organizations that share our commitment to addressing water challenges globally. Read our most recent report titled Water-Energy Nexus: Business Risks and Rewards.
On World Water Day in 2016, GE participated in a White House summit on building a sustainable water future through science and technology. As part of our participation in this event, we announced four commitments focused on helping to develop a sustainable water future. To learn more about our commitments, read the press release on the GE Newsroom.
